MARA - Minature Ascent Rate Alarm
This bright yellow diving safety accessory is only the size of a match box, and is designed to make diving safer by monitoring the ascent rate to help prevent decompression sickness. Ascent rate problems are the second biggest cause of decompression sickness or DCS.
Containing superior electronics and a high end industrial pressure sensor, MARA® detects changes in water pressure and analyses it against time and electronic dive tables.
If MARA® detects the diver ascending at a rate faster than 10 meters/min, it sends an alarm warning to slow down. It even provides a Safety Stop at 5 meters.
